Tips on finding a qualified, well trained NLP therapist
Check that your NLP therapist has been trained to Master Practitioner level, a Practitioner Qualification is only a qualification that runs alongside any other work/qualifications the holder has and does not qualify the person to carry out therapy see for example Reg Connelly`s thoughts and comments on this, as expressed on his website (Reg is also a member of the Professional Guild of NLP). Ask your therapist to see their original certificate and check that it qualifies the practitioner as a member of an organisation such as the Professional Guild, or INLPTA or the American Board of NLP, this will usually guarantee a therapist who has gone extensive, thorough training.
The therapist you choose does not necessarily have to be a personal member of the Professional Guild etc. but his/her certificate must state how many hours he/she has undergone and must be signed, and with a seal from the overall certificating body.

These are vital to all of the workshops/strategies and can be treated as a
simple one off without delving into anything else. Time out for you at home, at
work, wherever you need a brief `holiday` using you your own tailored relaxation
technique.

Habit Busting
Phobia Cures/Trauma Cures
Phobias such as: Fear of
- Spiders
- Snakes
- Birds
- Lifts
- Exams etc.
- Fear of Flying
- OCD
and Traumas such as:
- Assaults
- Death
- Accidents
- Abuse etc.
are all easy to treat using the NLP Fast Phobia Cure (or Rewind Technique), it is perfectly safe and can be carried out in one session. Richard Bandler developed it in the early days of NLP and in the last few yearsresearch has been carried out into how and why it works by Keith and Nicola Guy of the Red Poppy Company.
Other NLP techniques and methods may be used - please note - we never force you to "face you fear" during the treatment, you will be treated with respect and consideration at all times.

Preventing Stress
Do you want to "Manage your stress" or find ways to prevent it?
Here at NLP Highland we work with individuals or groups, even children can be stressed! There are plenty of easy ways to de-stress, some of which only cost you time out for yourself. We can give you pointers in the right direction and come back and check that you`ve arrived at your destination, or put you back on track, and even help you with the juggling!
We briefly assess your individual needs and if we think you need further help we will recommend other qualified channels, without the need for prescription drugs.

Ever thought you couldn`t make a phone call, sail through an interview, or sit an exam? Whether it`s an important call to sell yourself or your business, or your idea, whether it`s a driving test or a school exam? A simple session can help you relax, focus and achieve what`s right for you.
More sessions can be used to improve performance whether it be at work, at school, college, university, in sports performance to improve goal scoring, mastering your stroke at golf, to improve playing an instrument and performance, anything you need enhance, working through simple strategies can improve your performance.

Learning Strategies
So many people spell badly, because they don`t have a strategy to help them to learn to spell.
Think you can never remember a phone number?
Think you or your children can`t spell?
A simple group strategy session will help you to find the way and show you how many people cheat when they spell this frightening English language. This method is Magical Spelling * - it works like magic, and remember things you really need to know, such as phone numbers, PIN numbers, chemical formulae etc. Most children/adults will learn in one session, some may require a little longer.
Rosie O'Hara is a licensed teacher of Magical Spelling.
We also can give you tips to find the best way for you to learn, be it for your Driving Test, for your next exam or to impress others, such as teachers or parents, and prove you can do it! Simple revision strategies, which, Mum and Dad, are far from what you thought they should be and the kids will love them and they work.
Learning or "Learning Difficulties" (that's a nominalisation in NLP terms - it means many things to many people)
NLP has ways of discovering how you do what you do, and giving you a strategy that works instead, but it's all down to the individual, there is no "one size fits all". Just because you or your child "don't learn the way others do" you or they are not broken, they just do things differently. NLP is also extremely useful to build up and extend how you already learn and gve you some other optiions.
Together with Elgin Academy we have set up a way of using NLP for clear and well thought out motivation with teenagers and we can use it with other age groups, either in a group or individual setting. Beware - it requires some work, but the results far outway any work you might need to do.
